HMS Fife D20 County Class Destroyer Starboard View Photo Print
HMS Fife (D20), a County Class destroyer, under way in sheltered water, seen in black and white from her starboard side with a low coastline faint on the horizon beyond her bow. A group of sailors stands on the forecastle near the forward gun, the White Ensign flies at the stern and her bedstead radar and lattice foremast stand out against a hazy sky. The date and place are not recorded.
Fife spent her last Royal Navy years as a training ship for young officers from Dartmouth, with deployments to the Mediterranean in 1986 and to North America in 1987, before she was paid off and sold to Chile that August. The Chilean Navy renamed her Blanco Encalada and rebuilt her aft end with a longer flight deck and a larger hangar in place of the Seaslug launcher. She was decommissioned in 2003 and sold for scrap in 2005.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
