HMS Flintham M2628 Ham Class Minesweeper 1980 Photo Print
HMS Flintham (M2628), a Royal Navy Ham Class minesweeper, comes into Devonport in 1980 with her bow to the right, so her starboard side is towards the camera. This colour photograph shows her dark hull and grey upperworks, the White Ensign aft and the Union Flag at the bow, and sailors standing about her deck. A wooded shore and a sailing boat with a red sail lie behind her.
Flintham was built by J. Bolson at Poole and completed in November 1955, one of 93 Ham Class inshore minesweepers, all named after places ending in 'ham', hers being Flintham in Nottinghamshire. From 1968 to 1973 she was based at HMS Ganges with HMS Dittisham, giving young trainees their first taste of seamanship afloat. From 1974 to 1981 she served as a training tender at HMS Raleigh, and she was sold in 1982.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
