HMS Guernsey P297 Island Class Patrol Vessel March 1997 Photo Print
HMS Guernsey (P297), a Royal Navy Island Class patrol vessel, photographed from the air on 25 March 1997, running at speed with her bow to the right and her starboard side towards the camera. The high angle looks down on her open decks, with two inflatable boats stowed aft, the White Ensign at the stern and a broad white bow wave curling away over a grey-green sea.
Guernsey was built by Hall, Russell and Company at Aberdeen, launched on 17 February 1977 and commissioned into the Royal Navy on 28 October that year. The Island Class was modelled on the Scottish fishery protection vessels Jura and Westra, giving the Navy a sturdy, trawler-type hull suited to long patrols in the rough waters around the British Isles.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
