HMS Heron RNAS Yeovilton Aerial Photo Print
RNAS Yeovilton (HMS Heron), the Royal Navy air station in Somerset, photographed from high above on a bright day, with the whole airfield laid out against a patchwork of green fields. Crossing runways and taxiways run across the picture, with a large hangar complex and a concrete dispersal marked with painted helicopter landing circles in the foreground. The main station buildings, car parks and sports pitches sit beyond, and small villages edge the boundary. Undated.
Yeovilton was commissioned as HMS Heron on 18 June 1940 and trained Fleet Air Arm aircrew throughout the Second World War. For decades it was the home of the Navy's fixed-wing jets, flying Sea Vixens and later Sea Harriers until 2006. Today it is one of the two main Fleet Air Arm stations, home to Royal Navy Wildcats and the Merlin helicopters of the Commando Helicopter Force.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
