HMS Hibernia 1905 King Edward VII Class Pre Dreadnought 1914 to 1918 Photo Print
HMS Hibernia, the Royal Navy King Edward VII Class pre dreadnought battleship, lies at anchor with her starboard side to the camera, her twin funnels, tall masts with fighting tops and heavy anchor at the bow all clearly shown. Her torpedo net booms are rigged out along the hull, a boat lies alongside aft and another battleship rides at anchor in the distance on the right. Undated, catalogued as 1914 to 1918.
Hibernia was built at Devonport Dockyard and launched in June 1905, one of eight King Edward VII Class ships that the fleet nicknamed the Wobbly Eight for their handling. In May 1912, during the fleet review at Weymouth, Commander Charles Samson flew a Short biplane off a ramp built over her forecastle while she was underway, the first take off by an aircraft from a moving ship. She served with the Grand Fleet's 3rd Battle Squadron in the First World War and was sold for scrap in 1921.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
