HMS Hubberston M1147 Ton Class Minesweeper 4 September 1989 Port Side View Photo Print
HMS Hubberston (M1147), a Royal Navy Ton Class minesweeper, is out in open water after leaving Portsmouth on 4 September 1989, her bow to the left as she crosses a flat, silvery sea, taken from a raised position. The distant shoreline is almost lost in haze and the light is soft and pale, making her grey hull look nearly white. Small groups of sailors stand at the bow and on the quarterdeck, and her ensign flies at the stern.
Later service took Hubberston far from home: from August 1969 to September 1971 she was based in Hong Kong with the 6th Patrol Boat Squadron. On 1 January 1989, the year of this photo, she moved to the 3rd Mine Countermeasures Squadron at Portsmouth. She paid off on 21 February 1991 and went to Bruges in Belgium for breaking up in May 1992.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
