HMS Iron Duke F234 Type 23 Frigate February 2025 Photo Print
HMS Iron Duke (F234), a Type 23 frigate, drives almost straight at the camera on 13 February 2025, throwing a great sheet of spray up and over her port bow as she pushes through a choppy English Channel. This upright, head-on view, taken from above, shows her gun, bridge front and radar mast stacked one above the other, with a White Ensign streaming from the mast.
That week she was shadowing a Russian task group through the Channel, working with the patrol ship HMS Tyne, a Wildcat helicopter of 815 Naval Air Squadron and the Royal Fleet Auxiliary tanker RFA Tideforce to report every move of the landing ships Aleksandr Otrakovskiy and Ivan Gren and their accompanying merchant ships. She had not long returned to the fleet after a life extension refit of nearly five years, which replaced her original Sea Wolf missiles with the Sea Ceptor air defence system.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
