HMS Itchen M2009 River Class Minesweeper 1997 Leaving Faslane Photo Print
HMS Itchen (M2009), a Royal Navy River Class minesweeper, underway off the naval base at Faslane on the Gareloch in 1997, seen on her starboard bow. Behind her are the base's quayside buildings and a tall crane, with the black hull of a submarine lying alongside, while heavy cloud rolls over the green hills beyond.
Twelve River Class minesweepers were built, all named after British rivers, and she took her name from the Itchen, which flows through Winchester and Southampton into Southampton Water. Although crewed chiefly by reservists, she was a commissioned warship flying the White Ensign, and visits to fleet bases such as this one were part of her working life.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
