HMS Kellington M1154 Ton Class Minesweeper Port Beam View Photo Print
HMS Kellington (M1154), a Royal Navy Ton Class minesweeper, steams across a flat, glassy sea in this undated black and white photograph, showing her port beam from bow to stern. Men can be made out on the forecastle beside her single gun, and the ensign streams from the staff aft, above the davits of her working deck. There is barely a ripple around her, and the horizon fades into a pale, featureless sky.
Kellington was built by Pickersgill at Sunderland, launched on 12 October 1954 and named after the village of Kellington in North Yorkshire, as the Ton Class ships were all named after British places ending in "ton". She served with the 108th Minesweeping Squadron based at Malta in 1956. In January 1957 she came home to Hythe and joined the Reserve Fleet, a common fate for many of the class in the late 1950s.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
