HMS Kent F78 Type 23 Frigate 21 November 2006 Photo Print
HMS Kent (F78), a Royal Navy Type 23 frigate, heads almost straight at the camera in this view from the air on 21 November 2006, a broad white V of wake fanning out behind her across dark blue water. She was on her way home to Portsmouth at the end of a Gulf deployment. From this height the whole length of her upper deck can be read, from the 4.5 inch gun and Sea Wolf silo on the forecastle, past the Harpoon launchers and white satellite domes, to the empty flight deck at the stern.
Kent spent the second half of 2006 in the Northern Arabian Gulf with coalition forces, guarding Iraq's two oil export platforms, the Al Basra Oil Terminal and the Khawr Al Amaya Oil Terminal. A small detachment of Royal Marines was embarked for boarding work, and a Lynx Mk8 flew from her hangar. On the way back she passed through the Suez Canal on 15 November and paid a short goodwill visit to Beirut two days later.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
