HMS Khedive D62 Ruler Class Escort Carrier Photo Print
HMS Khedive (D62), a Ruler Class escort carrier, lying on calm water off Greenock in Scotland during the Second World War, when she was commanded by Captain H J Haynes RN. The view is square on to her starboard side, showing the full sweep of her dazzle camouflage, the small island and radar mast, and the two cranes at her after end, with a thin trail of smoke drifting from her funnel and low hills on the far shore.
She was built in the United States by Seattle-Tacoma Shipbuilding at Tacoma, Washington, launched on 27 December 1942 as USS Cordova, and handed to the Royal Navy on 25 August 1943 under Lend-Lease. The Ruler Class were larger and could operate more aircraft than any of the earlier American-built escort carriers, and the Royal Navy used them both for convoy work and to support landings. In August 1944 Khedive took part in the Allied landings in southern France.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
