HMS Leopard F14 Leopard Class Frigate 1966 Underway Photo Print
HMS Leopard (F14), a Leopard Class frigate, driving towards the camera in 1966, taken from a high position off her starboard bow as a heavy bow wave rolls away from her hull. The forward twin 4.5-inch turret, her bridge and the lattice radar aerial rising behind it fill the frame, and a line of hills and pale cliffs runs along the horizon behind her. From this angle the fine lines of her bow are plain to see.
In August 1966 Leopard sailed for the Far East, where she spent a busy year of exercises. Her main armament of two twin 4.5-inch Mark 6 turrets was backed by a twin 40mm Bofors mounting and a Squid anti-submarine mortar. Her three sisters in Royal Navy service were Jaguar, Lynx and Puma.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
