HMS Manchester D95 Type 42 Destroyer Port Beam View Photo Print
HMS Manchester (D95), a Type 42 destroyer, is broadside on from her port side in this undated photograph, making way across a flat grey sea under a hazy, almost white sky. A Lynx helicopter sits on the flight deck aft, and figures of the ship's company stand on the forecastle abaft her forward gun mounting and again on the upper deck amidships. Where she was steaming is not recorded.
She was the third Royal Navy ship to carry the name, following a hired stores ship of 1814 and the Town class cruiser that was torpedoed and scuttled off Tunisia in August 1942. A bee taken from the arms of the City of Manchester was worn on her funnel as a mark of industry. Her battle honours came down from that cruiser, for Norway and Spartivento in 1940 and the Arctic and Malta convoys of 1942, with the Persian Gulf in 1991 added by this ship.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
