HMS Marlborough F233 Type 23 Frigate February 2003 Photo Print
HMS Marlborough (F233), a Royal Navy Type 23 frigate, closes a Royal Fleet Auxiliary to replenish at sea on 10 February 2003, viewed from fine on her starboard bow under a pale overcast sky. Sailors are closed up along her starboard side and on the forecastle for the evolution, and flags fly from her yardarm. Her 4.5 inch gun now sits behind the angular gunhouse of the Mod 1 mounting, in place of the rounded shield she carried in her early years.
Replenishment at sea is what keeps a task group at sea for months: fuel, ammunition, food and stores pass across by hose and jackstay while both ships hold a steady course and speed side by side. The ships that bring it out are Royal Fleet Auxiliaries, civilian manned vessels that support the fleet wherever it is sent. By February 2003 Marlborough was deployed with the force gathering for Operation Telic, the Iraq campaign.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
