HMS Marlborough F233 Type 23 Frigate June 2003 At Sea Bow View Photo Print
HMS Marlborough (F233), a Royal Navy Type 23 frigate, comes straight at the camera in the Arafura Sea, north of Australia, on 12 June 2003, on passage to Singapore. The light is behind her, so she stands as a dark shape against glittering water while her bow throws up sheets of spray on both sides. Her mast and radar aerials stand out sharply against the bright sky, with flags streaming from the yardarm.
In March 2003, at the start of the Iraq war, Marlborough was one of the warships giving naval gunfire support to 3 Commando Brigade as the Royal Marines went ashore on the Al Faw peninsula. HMS Chatham, HMS Richmond and the Australian frigate HMAS Anzac fired in the same series of missions. With the fighting over she was sent further east rather than straight home.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
