HMS Marlborough F233 Type 23 Frigate November 2004 Port Beam View Photo Print
HMS Marlborough (F233), a Royal Navy Type 23 frigate, lies broadside to the camera on 24 November 2004 in the Northern Arabian Gulf, showing her port side from stem to stern. A Lynx helicopter sits on the flight deck at her stern, dark smoke drifts from the funnel, and a pale sky warms to gold near the horizon. The water is so still that her outline repeats almost perfectly in the reflection below her.
The Type 23 was designed to hunt Soviet submarines in the North Atlantic, quiet enough to tow a sonar array astern and carrying a helicopter to push the search out well beyond her own sensors. The Lynx on Marlborough's deck gave her that reach, and in August 1996 she worked with the submarine HMS Sceptre on the American underwater test range at AUTEC in the Bahamas.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
