HMS Medway P223 River Class Patrol Vessel January 2020 Leaving Portsmouth Photo Print
HMS Medway (P223), a River Class patrol vessel, leaves Portsmouth Harbour on 20 January 2020, her port side towards the camera as she passes the old stone fortifications at the harbour mouth. A shingle beach runs below the sea wall on the right of the frame, where a few people have come down to watch her go while others stand on the fort above. Flats and waterfront buildings line the far shore, and rippled cloud covers most of the sky.
She sailed that day on her first deployment, bound for the Caribbean, and she has been the Royal Navy's standing presence in the region ever since. The work mixes reassurance for Britain's Overseas Territories, readiness to deliver aid after a hurricane, and counter-narcotics patrols alongside the United States Coast Guard and regional law enforcement agencies. During her first twelve months on station she took 650kg of cocaine off one boat and forced other smugglers to dump their cargo at sea.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
