HMS Minerva F45 Leander Class Frigate July 1990 Stern View Photo Print
HMS Minerva (F45), a Royal Navy Leander Class frigate, is shown dead astern on 7 July 1990, drawing away over green water with her wake spreading back towards the camera. The White Ensign flies at the gaff with signal flags at the yards, her pennant number stands large on the flat transom, and several of her company are at work on the quarterdeck below. Low hills lie on either side of her and a haze of funnel smoke drifts across the sky.
Minerva reached the Falklands on 26 May 1982, five days after the landings at San Carlos, and spent the rest of the campaign escorting other ships inside the total exclusion zone. On 1 June her radar picked up an Argentine C-130 transport, which Sea Harriers then shot down, and she was home at Devonport by September. She was laid up in March 1992 and sold for scrap the following year.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
