HMS Monmouth F235 Type 23 Frigate January 2013 Photo Print
HMS Monmouth (F235), a Type 23 frigate, shows her full port side on 15 January 2013, in a photograph taken by a United States Navy photographer while she was working in the US 5th Fleet area. F235 is carried large on her bow, choppy blue water runs past her and she leaves almost no wake. A few of her crew stand at the after end of the flight deck by the hangar door, one of them in whites.
The fleet knew her as the Black Duke, after James Scott, Duke of Monmouth, the illegitimate son of Charles II whose rebellion ended in defeat at Sedgemoor and his execution in 1685, and her mast was painted black in keeping with the name. Earlier in January 2013 she had exercised in the Gulf with the minehunter HMS Atherstone, which stood in as a suspect pirate vessel for her embarked Royal Marines boarding team while her Lynx gave cover from the air.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
