HMS New Zealand 1911 Indefatigable Class Cruiser 1910 Photo Print
HMS New Zealand (1911), a Royal Navy Indefatigable Class battlecruiser, lies still on flat, oily water with her bow towards the right of the frame, so the side square to the camera is her starboard side. Smoke drifts from her funnels, small groups of men stand along the forecastle and the upper deck, and flags fly from her mastheads and from staffs at both ends, as a ship shows them at rest. She is in a plain dark finish and the view belongs to her early years in service.
She was completed in November 1912 and sailed from Portsmouth on 6 February 1913 for a cruise round the world, returning that December. About 376,000 people came aboard during her stay in New Zealand, whose ports she visited at length. Her commanding officer was given a piupiu, a Maori flax garment, while she was there, and it was worn on the bridge in each of her wartime actions.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
