HMS Northumberland F238 Type 23 Frigate December 2012 Photo Print
HMS Northumberland (F238), a Type 23 frigate, lies stopped on flat tropical water off Dar es Salaam in late December 2012, seen from close to the surface off her starboard bow. The low viewpoint makes her stand tall against a clear sky, with F238 painted large on her side and rust streaking the plating below the anchor. A group of her people is at work on the upper deck aft.
This call at Tanzania fell in the middle of a deployment east of Suez that began in the autumn of 2012 and did not end until May 2013. On the way out she took part in Corsican Lion, a joint exercise with the French navy in the Mediterranean that saw her working alongside the frigate Jean de Vienne. A Merlin of 829 Naval Air Squadron was embarked for the trip, Muscat in Oman was among her other calls, and she spent Christmas Day of 2012 at sea on task.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
