HMS Ocean L12 Landing Platform Helicopter February 2018 Photo Print
HMS Ocean (L12), a Royal Navy landing platform helicopter, in Portsmouth Harbour on 2 February 2018, the day she came in for a farewell visit to the city, with the Spinnaker Tower standing over the waterfront behind her. Low heavy cloud runs across the sky with a pale band of light along the horizon, the water is almost flat, and no aircraft are on deck. Tugs work close in at her side, with others standing off further out.
In nearly twenty years of service Ocean was sent wherever troops had to be put ashore quickly. She carried 42 Commando Royal Marines off Sierra Leone in 2000, took 3 Commando Brigade to the Al Faw peninsula at the start of the Iraq war in 2003, and flew Army Air Corps Apaches against targets in Libya in 2011. In 2012 she lay in the Thames at Greenwich as part of the security plan for the London Olympic Games.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
