HMS Pellew F62 Blackwood Class Frigate February 1967 Photo Print
HMS Pellew (F62), a Royal Navy Blackwood Class frigate, under way on 23 February 1967, the camera high above her port quarter, her name and pennant number painted on the transom and a broad wake curling away astern. A high headland rises across the water behind her and the White Ensign flies from the staff right at the stern. The angle looks forward along the length of her upper deck, over a boat in its davits and canvas covered deck gear, towards the bridge and mast.
In 1965 she was part of the 2nd Frigate Squadron based at Portland, where the work was training officers and ratings in anti-submarine warfare. Her port visits in the mid 1960s took her to Calais, Kiel, Flushing, Cherbourg and Jersey, and she was open to the public at Portsmouth Navy Days in 1965. She was broken up at Fleetwood in 1971.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
