HMS Pembroke M107 Sandown Class Minehunter May 2005 Photo Print
HMS Pembroke (M107), a Royal Navy Sandown Class minehunter, in the Solent on 23 May 2005, outward bound from Portsmouth and seen from her port side. Broken cloud sits in a blue sky, the water is dark and lightly ruffled, and a low shoreline runs along the far side of the water. The White Ensign streams from the staff aft, and a yacht is under sail away beyond her stern.
Twelve of these single role minehunters were built for the Royal Navy, the first commissioned in 1989 and the last in 2002. The hull is glass reinforced plastic and the machinery is mounted to keep the magnetic and acoustic signature as low as possible, so the ship can work safely above a ground mine lying on the seabed. Voith Schneider units and bow thrusters let her hold an exact position over a contact while sonar, remotely operated vehicles and a diving team deal with it.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
