HMS Prince of Wales R09 Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carrier July 2025 Arriving in Darwin Photo Print
HMS Prince of Wales (R09), a Royal Navy Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carrier, stands in towards Darwin on 23 July 2025, seen from ahead and well above her, with her people out along the deck edges. Her flight deck is full, F-35B Lightnings ranged down both sides under canopy covers and Merlins parked further aft. The water is almost glassy and the air thick with haze, a single small craft out on the flat surface beyond her.
This was the first visit to Australia by a Queen Elizabeth Class carrier and the first by any Royal Navy carrier since 1997. She had come south leading the UK Carrier Strike Group for Exercise Talisman Sabre, the Australian led multinational exercise, by way of the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Singapore. Her entry that day was marked with Procedure Bravo, the ship's company fallen in and the embarked aircraft lining the deck, British and United States Marine Corps F-35Bs among them.

This print is ideal for members of her ship's company who made the passage south in 2025 and anyone with a connection to the Royal Navy's return to Australian waters.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
Your order will be crafted by award-winning framing technicians based in central England, with decades of combined experience. Using the finest FUJI professional photographic papers and premium materials, they ensure exceptional print and frame quality.
Our hand-picked craftsmen and women work with state-of-the-art printing and cutting equipment, yet every frame is still assembled by hand and subject to rigorous quality checks. Their dedication consistently results in outstanding work, appreciated by many returning customers.
