HMS Prince of Wales R09 Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carrier November 2025 Flight Deck Photo Print
HMS Prince of Wales (R09), a Royal Navy Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carrier, from directly overhead, looking straight down on her flight deck with F-35B Lightning jets ranged in a long line down her port deck edge and more parked in the gap between her two islands. The photograph was taken at sea on 21 November 2025, when 24 British and Italian F-35Bs were embarked in her. White water runs away from the hull on both sides, so she was under way and making good speed.
The Queen Elizabeth Class works without catapults or arrestor wires. The F-35B leaves over the ramp at the bow and returns to the deck vertically, which is what allows a ship with a comparatively small ship's company to operate a large fast jet force. Britain's Lightning jets are flown by both the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force. In November 2025 Italian F-35Bs joined them on board for NATO's Neptune Strike activity, the Royal Navy calling the combined air group the largest fifth generation carrier air wing ever embarked.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
