HMS Prince of Wales R09 Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carrier February 2024 From Above Photo Print
HMS Prince of Wales (R09), a Royal Navy Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carrier, is photographed from the air in February 2024, the camera high off her starboard bow and looking down the length of the flight deck as she makes way through deep blue water. A line of F-35B Lightnings stands wing to wing along the far deck edge with a single jet parked on its own further inboard, helicopters are ranged across the after end of the deck and another sits in close beside the after island. Her ski jump runs up to the bow at the foot of the picture and long shadows reach across the deck from a low sun.
The two islands each have a job: the forward one runs the ship and the after one runs the flying. She has no catapults and no arrester wires, so the Lightnings take off up the ramp forward and land vertically back on the deck. The class was designed around a routine air group of about 24 F-35Bs with helicopters alongside them, on a flight deck 280 metres long and 70 metres wide.

This print is ideal for the Fleet Air Arm and Royal Air Force aircrew and flight deck crews who worked her deck, and for anyone who served in her air department.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
Your order will be crafted by award-winning framing technicians based in central England, with decades of combined experience. Using the finest FUJI professional photographic papers and premium materials, they ensure exceptional print and frame quality.
Our hand-picked craftsmen and women work with state-of-the-art printing and cutting equipment, yet every frame is still assembled by hand and subject to rigorous quality checks. Their dedication consistently results in outstanding work, appreciated by many returning customers.
