HMS Puncher P291 Archer Class P2000 Patrol Vessel February 2018 Photo Print
HMS Puncher (P291), a Royal Navy Archer Class patrol vessel, off Portsmouth on 2 February 2018, throwing up a heavy bow wave as she drives into a short grey sea. The view is from low down on her port bow, with the Spinnaker Tower and the Portsmouth waterfront behind her under a thick overcast. Her bridge team are at the upper steering position in cold weather clothing, and on this day she was playing the part of a hostile craft in pre-deployment training for larger ships.
Work of this sort, standing in for an aggressor while a ship's company practise their drills, sits alongside the class's usual round of navigation training in the Solent and across to continental ports. Twin Rolls-Royce diesels drive her two shafts, and her small size lets her work close inshore where a frigate cannot go. In June 2024 she was in the Baltic with her sister HMS Pursuer, when the class was tried as a launch platform for autonomous mine hunting equipment.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
