HMS Queen Elizabeth R08 Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carrier November 2023 Photo Print
A Merlin Mk2 of 820 Naval Air Squadron flies low over a heavy swell on 5 November 2023, undercarriage down, with HMS Queen Elizabeth (R08), a Royal Navy Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carrier, standing off on the horizon in spray and haze. The cloud above is banked in pink and grey and the sea below is dark and broken.
That day the carrier's divers worked with her medical department and 820 Naval Air Squadron on casualty recovery, lifting a diver from the water first by Pacific 24 seaboat and then by helicopter winch, which is the serial being flown here. The squadron flies its Merlins from RNAS Culdrose in Cornwall and provides the anti submarine screen around the carrier, searching well beyond the horizon. The work ran during Exercise Neptune Strike, in the course of which the Carrier Strike Group passed to NATO command.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
