HMS Repulse 1916 Renown Class Battlecruiser In Harbour Photo Print
HMS Repulse (1916), a Royal Navy Renown Class battlecruiser, at rest in a harbour, the view taken from low on the water and looking along her starboard side, her bow away to the right of the frame. A town runs along the shore below a bare hill behind her, and a merchant ship with a smaller vessel alongside lies at the quay beyond her stern. Her foremast and the tall top above it stand well clear of the long run of forecastle forward.
Repulse commissioned on 18 August 1916, too late for Jutland, and fought only once in the First World War. On 17 November 1917 she was detached from the 1st Battle Cruiser Squadron and worked up to full speed to join the Second Battle of Heligoland Bight, opening fire on the German ships covering their minesweepers. She was the only capital ship to get into that action, and it was the one occasion in that war on which she engaged an enemy.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
