HMS Rothesay F107 Rothesay Class Frigate Procedure Alpha Photo Print
HMS Rothesay (F107), a Rothesay Class frigate, steams past the Royal Yacht in the early 1960s with her ship's company lined along the starboard rails from forecastle to quarterdeck, an occasion the Royal Navy's record describes as cheering ship. The aerial view looks down from above her starboard bow as she makes way through a moderate sea, with the men in dark uniform and the White Ensign flying aft. She is still as built, with her twin 4.5 inch turret forward and the twin 40mm mounting aft where the hangar and flight deck were later added.
During two West Indies deployments, of seven and eleven months, Rothesay spent three days filming at Nassau in the Bahamas for a brief appearance in the James Bond film Thunderball. On 14 and 15 January 1966 she rescued 134 Haitian refugees whose 35 foot fishing boat, bound for the Bahamas, had run aground on an uninhabited island. On 19 March 1969, with HMS Minerva, she landed 315 men of the Parachute Regiment on Anguilla.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
