HMS Scott H131 Ocean Survey Vessel Starboard View Photo Print
HMS Scott (H131), a Royal Navy ocean survey vessel, shown from her starboard side beneath a heavy bank of dark cloud, with a low wooded shore stretching away behind her. Rust streaks run from her hawse recess down the bow plating, and one of her crew stands on the otherwise clear forecastle near the jackstaff. Her orange boats sit in their davits amidships and a small ensign flies at the stern; no date is recorded for the photograph.
In September 2020 she made her first visit to Portsmouth since 2011, after a summer in the North Atlantic in which she gathered more survey data in one six week stint than in any earlier spell at sea. She had been due to pay off in 2022, but in 2023 it was decided to give her a life extension refit instead, keeping her in service until 2033. The work was carried out at A&P Falmouth from late 2024, and she sailed again in June 2026.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
