HMS Sheraton M1181 Ton Class Minesweeper June 1988 Photo Print
HMS Sheraton (M1181), a Royal Navy Ton Class minesweeper, shortly after leaving HMNB Portsmouth on 27 June 1988, seen from close to the water off her port beam. Dark exhaust trails back from her black topped funnel into a hazy sky, the White Ensign flies aft and orange life rafts sit on the deck abaft the funnel. A low coastline is just visible through the haze behind her.
Sheraton was built by J Samuel White at their Itchen yard in Southampton, launched in July 1955 and completed in August 1956. She commissioned in January 1959 for Royal Naval Reserve training from Portsmouth, and was converted from a sweeper into a minehunter there between June 1964 and April 1965. From 1991 she was lent to the Fishery Protection Squadron, and she paid off in October 1993.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
