HMS Sirius F40 Leander Class Frigate At Sea Photo Print
HMS Sirius (F40), a Royal Navy Leander Class frigate, at sea in a short, wind whipped swell, seen off her starboard bow with white water breaking round her forefoot. A bow wave runs back along her side, a burst of spray rises further aft, and whitecaps cover the sea out to the horizon. Neither the date nor the photographer is recorded.
Sirius joined NATO's Standing Naval Force Atlantic in 1974, the multinational squadron that worked the North Atlantic in every sort of weather, and in 1978 she became leader of the 6th Frigate Squadron. She stayed in front line service until 17 February 1992, when she paid off, and was struck from the list the following year. In 1998 she was sunk as a target in the Atlantic by the submarine HMS Spartan and the frigate HMS Monmouth.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
