HMS St Albans F83 Type 23 Frigate April 2018 Photo Print
HMS St Albans (F83), a Type 23 frigate, appears as a black silhouette against the setting sun over a near flat calm sea on 19 April 2018. She is shown from her port side, with a helicopter visible on the flight deck aft and the sun just above her radar mast, its light laid in a golden path across the water. The photograph is by PO Lee Blease and was chosen for the Royal Navy's Best of Defence Imagery 2018 selection.
At the time she was the Fleet Ready Escort, the very high readiness ship held to protect UK waters, and was then based at Portsmouth. That same week she was called out to keep watch on the Russian frigate Yaroslav Mudry and the oiler Lena, escorting them through the English Channel as they headed for the Mediterranean.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
