HMS St Albans F83 Type 23 Frigate September 2011 With USS George H W Bush Photo Print
HMS St Albans (F83), a Royal Navy Type 23 frigate, passes the American carrier USS George H W Bush on 27 September 2011, photographed from the air along her starboard side during an exercise in the Middle East. A few sailors stand on her upper deck, spray lifts from her quarter, and the carrier, with aircraft ranged on her flight deck, pushes her own wake across the grey, hazy water beyond.
The meeting was part of a three-day Passage Exercise in which St Albans and her sister ship HMS Somerset joined the Bush group, with the American warships Mitscher, Gettysburg and Springfield also taking part. The programme ran through air defence, surface threat and anti-submarine serials, giving the two Type 23s a demanding workout alongside a carrier strike group.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
