HMS St David M1124 Minesweeper Photo Print
HMS St David (M1124), a Royal Navy minesweeper, comes in through the entrance to Cardiff Docks around 1965, seen from off her port bow. Fenders already hang over her side, sailors stand ready on the forecastle and a thin trail of smoke rises from her funnel into a hazy sky. A pier head shows on the left and a wooded headland fades into the mist beyond her stern.
She was built by J. S. Doig at Grimsby and launched on 17 May 1953 as the Ton Class coastal minesweeper Crichton, taking the name Clyde on completion in 1954. From 1961 to 1976 she was HMS St David, attached to HMS Cambria, the South Wales Division of the Royal Naval Reserve, at East Bute Dock in Cardiff. Refitted at Rosyth in 1976 for fishery protection, she went back to her original name of Crichton and was finally broken up in 1987.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
