HMS Starling P241 Peacock Class Patrol Vessel 1984 Photo Print
HMS Starling (P241), a Royal Navy Peacock Class patrol vessel, is under way at an easy pace in 1984, her starboard side towards the camera and a small bow wave curling away from her stem. A group of sailors stands on the forecastle just forward of the gun housing, a few more gather aft by the ensign staff, and a pale hazy sky meets a lightly rippled sea in this black and white photograph.
Starling was one of five Peacock Class patrol vessels built by Hall, Russell and Company at Aberdeen for the Hong Kong Squadron, her sisters being Peacock, Plover, Swallow and Swift. The class was fully air conditioned for tropical service, and her main armament was the single 76 mm OTO Melara gun mounted on the forecastle.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
