HMS Tamar P233 River Class Patrol Vessel January 2024 With Seaboat Photo Print
HMS Tamar (P233), a Royal Navy River Class patrol vessel, lies anchored in Bounty Bay, Pitcairn Island, on 17 January 2024, during her four-day visit, with her starboard side towards the camera. One of her sea boats, crew aboard, cuts through the blue swell off her bow and throws up white spray, while ragged cloud drifts across the sky above.
Pitcairn has no harbour able to take a ship of her size, so visiting vessels anchor offshore and people and stores go ashore by boat to the small landing at Bounty Bay. The bay takes its name from HMS Bounty, which the mutineers burned there in 1790 after settling on the island. Tamar carries rigid-hulled sea boats for boarding work, and they double as her ferry to the shore on visits like this.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
