HMS Temeraire 1907 Bellerophon Class Battleship 1909 Photo Print
HMS Temeraire, the Royal Navy Bellerophon Class dreadnought, lies at anchor off Southend in the Thames Estuary in 1909, gathered there with the fleet for the Thames Naval Review. The camera looks at her starboard quarter: the White Ensign flies at her stern, an awning is spread over the crowded quarterdeck, her boat booms are swung out with a motor boat alongside, and another vessel lies at anchor in the distance beyond her stern.
Laid down at Devonport Dockyard on 1 January 1907 and launched that August, she was commissioned on 15 May 1909, only weeks before this review, and joined the Home Fleet. Her ten 12-inch guns were carried in five twin turrets, two of them on the beams, following the layout set by HMS Dreadnought. On 31 July that year she was at Spithead, during Cowes Week, when King Edward VII and Tsar Nicholas II reviewed the fleet, and in June 1911 she was back at Spithead for the Coronation Review of King George V.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
