HMS Toreador H55 S Class Destroyer Photo Print
HMS Toreador (H55), a Royal Navy S Class destroyer, lies almost stationary on a calm, lightly rippled sea, her port side and bow towards the camera. A handful of sailors stand along the forecastle near the forward gun, signal flags fly from the foremast and her two tall funnels rise amidships. The photo is undated.
Toreador was ordered from Thornycroft in June 1917, laid down that November and launched on 7 December 1918, too late to see action in the First World War. She was placed in reserve at Portsmouth in May 1919. On 1 March 1928 she was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy as HMCS Vancouver, and she served in Canada until she was paid off on 25 November 1936 and broken up at Vancouver the following year.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
