HMS Tyrian F67 Type 16 Frigate Photo Print
HMS Tyrian (F67) is photographed from the air after her rebuild as a Royal Navy Type 16 anti-submarine frigate, her port side facing the camera as she cuts across a dark sea at speed. A thick band of foam runs along her hull from the bow, the White Ensign flies at her stern and the new pennant F67 shows on her side. The photograph is undated.
Tyrian began life as a T Class destroyer, launched by Swan Hunter at Wallsend on 27 July 1942, and earned the battle honours Sicily 1943 and Salerno 1943. Held in reserve at Harwich from 1946, she went to Harland and Wolff at Liverpool in 1951 and 1952 for her frigate conversion and then joined the 2nd Training Squadron at Portland. In 1953 she took part in the Coronation Fleet Review at Spithead, and on 29 September that year she ran aground on Haisborough Sands off the Norfolk coast, being refloated the same day; she arrived at Troon for breaking up in March 1965.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
