HMS Vanguard S28 Vanguard Class Submarine 2010 Photo Print
HMS Vanguard (S28), a Vanguard Class submarine, comes in towards HM Naval Base Clyde, Faslane on 29 November 2010, seen fine on her bow with her forward hydroplanes spread wide either side of the hull. Two escort craft, one in police livery, keep station off her quarter, while sailors stand on the casing and the snow-covered hills and a town on the far shore catch the low sun. The fin glows gold where the light strikes it.
Deterrent boats are escorted in and out of the Clyde by police and naval patrol craft, part of the security that surrounds the force. Vanguard's patrols are meant to pass unnoticed, but in February 2009 she collided with the French ballistic missile submarine Le Triomphant while both were dived in the Atlantic. Neither side reported any harm to the weapons or reactors, and Vanguard came back to Faslane with visible dents and scrapes.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
