HMS Wallace D3A Thornycroft Type Flotilla Leader 1919 Photo Print
HMS Wallace (D3A), a Royal Navy Thornycroft type flotilla leader, is shown in 1919 from close off her port bow, with sailors gathered on the forecastle beside the forward gun and flags streaming from her foremast. Smoke drifts back from her fore funnel and the pennant D3A stands out in pale lettering on her dark hull.
Built by J I Thornycroft and launched on 26 October 1918, Wallace was completed in February 1919, too late for the war she was designed for. Her first real work came that same year, when she was sent to the Baltic during the British campaign in the Russian Civil War, and in 1922 to 1923 she served in the Eastern Mediterranean during the Chanak Crisis. Otherwise her inter-war years were spent mainly with the Atlantic Fleet.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
