HMS Warspite S103 Valiant Class Submarine Photo Print
HMS Warspite (S103), a Royal Navy Valiant Class submarine, makes her way through choppy water close to a dockyard in this undated black and white photograph, showing her port side. Sailors work on the forward casing with a line out over the bow, men stand on the bridge atop the fin beside the raised masts, and a tug and a row of dockyard cranes line the far shore.
On 2 May 1976, while alongside in Liverpool, Warspite suffered a serious fire when a broken coupling sprayed oil during a diesel run, and the repairs and refit that followed took about two years. She returned to front-line service, but problems with her reactor plant led to her being paid off in 1991. She was then laid up at HMNB Devonport to await disposal.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
