HMS Zodiac R54 Z Class Destroyer 1945 Photo Print
HMS Zodiac (R54), a Royal Navy Z Class destroyer, is under way on calm, glassy water in 1945, shown from her port bow with her pennant number painted large on the hull. Smoke drifts back from her funnel, flags fly from her mast, and the wash from the camera boat curls through the right foreground. A low wooded shoreline lies to the left and other vessels can be made out far off on the right.
Zodiac was built by John I. Thornycroft at Woolston, Southampton, and joined the fleet in 1944. She operated in the North Sea and off Norway and took part in Arctic convoy operations. About ten years after the war she was sold to Israel, where she became INS Yaffo, served during the Suez Crisis in 1956 and was still in commission when the Six-Day War began in 1967.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
