British Army Household Division Trooping the Colour May 2025 Photo Print
The massed bands of the Household Division, British Army, are formed up in ranks on Horse Guards Parade in London during a rehearsal for Trooping the Colour on 29 May 2025. Two drum majors step out in front of the bearskinned musicians, with guardsmen lined up in the far distance and the stands behind the parade ground still largely empty. The green domes of the Old Admiralty Building and a Union Flag rise above the scene under a bright, broken sky.
The bands of the Household Division are drawn from the five regiments of Foot Guards and the Household Cavalry, and at Trooping the Colour they play together as one massed body, marking the pace for every movement of the parade. The ceremony grew from the old practice of carrying a regiment's Colour down the ranks so that soldiers would know it in battle, and it has marked the sovereign's official birthday since the eighteenth century. Horse Guards Parade itself was once the tiltyard of Henry VIII's Palace of Whitehall.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
