Royal Navy Merlin Helicopter Hovering over the Sea 2025 Photo Print
A Royal Navy Merlin hovers low over a dark, choppy sea in 2025, her starboard side to the camera, with her rotor downwash throwing up a wide ring of spray beneath her. Behind lies a rocky headland under a line of hills, with a small town at the water's edge on the left, beneath a blue sky banded with cloud. Two crew can be seen at her open cabin door.
This photo is listed as coming from a Royal Navy demonstration off the coast of Scotland in late October 2025, in which five uncrewed boats, piloted remotely from around 500 miles away, swarmed HMS Tyne during 72 hours of training built around escorting a warship. The Merlin itself dates back to the EH101 programme between Westland and Agusta, which first flew in 1987, and it has served the Fleet Air Arm since the end of the 1990s.
This print is ideal for Merlin aircrew and anyone with a connection to Royal Navy flying off the Scottish coast.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
