RAF 18 Squadron Chinook Exercise Medic Falcon August 2026 Photo Print
A Royal Air Force Chinook of 18 Squadron, from RAF Odiham, stands on the apron beside three Chinooks of 298 Squadron, Royal Netherlands Air Force, during Exercise Medic Falcon on 18th August 2026. The RAF Chinook is closest to the camera, port side on, in dark green with a Union flag on her rear pylon, roundels on her fuselage and a wheeled fire extinguisher standing by her nose. Behind her the three Dutch Chinooks sit in a line in their lighter sand colour, their rotor blades drooping at rest. Pine trees and the curved roof of a hangar line the edge of the airfield under a flat grey sky.
Exercise Medic Falcon brought two 18 Squadron Chinooks together with 298 Squadron to practise casualty evacuation and medical care in the air. Crews and medics from both air forces worked with the Dutch Chinooks and NH90 helicopters. 18 Squadron itself goes back to the First World War, when its crews claimed 200 air-to-air victories. It later flew the Blenheim, the Valiant and the Wessex, before carrying troops to the front line on Operation Telic in Iraq and Operation Herrick in Afghanistan. Today it flies from RAF Odiham, home of the UK Chinook Force.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
