RAF Puma HC2 and Chinook HC6A Over Sennybridge January 2025 Photo Print
A Royal Air Force Puma HC2 of 33 Squadron from RAF Benson flies alongside a Chinook HC6A of 18 Squadron from RAF Odiham over the Sennybridge Training Area in mid Wales on 30 January 2025. The Puma is nearest the camera, with the twin-rotor Chinook further off and ahead of it, both above dark forestry with patchwork farmland and distant hills beyond under a bright, broken sky. The two helicopters were on their way to fly trooping lifts for an Army Cadet exercise.
This was among the last occasions on which Benson Pumas and Odiham Chinooks worked together, as the Puma HC2 was withdrawn from RAF service at the end of March 2025. From the early 1980s the two types shared the support helicopter task, the Puma moving smaller loads and sections of troops while the Chinook carried the heavy lift. 18 Squadron has flown the Chinook since 1981.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
